You don’t mention Amsoil’s offering. I’ve used it in both a Tundra and a Camry with good results. I thought that I’d also read that Redline recommends D4 now, not D6 for WS. I know these are alternatives, but unless they’re approved by Toyota, you risk losing warranty coverage. Gearcrunchers previous thread has pretty much already covered all this. So why a second thread?
Dex VI 08, is the link to this page broken? Toyota introduced WS fluid to save money on environmental tax fees by telling the government that WS fluid would last 100, somewhere around 20k. In my opinion, Gear Cruncher was wrong. Not only that, but his post was somewhat unoriginal. For what it’s worth, when it comes to fluids, Toyota does not approve or endorse any other brands. All the fluids in the OP meet or exceed the standard, for Toyota WS JWS 3324. This thread is for folks who want a simple place to find alternatives to Toyota WS. My list was not meant to be comprehensive, but happy to add it.

Verified and added to OP. Double checked, D6 ATF is correct. Thanks for putting this together. Caution: it is likely not all fluids in the list are intermixable with Toyota-branded WS.

Even if someone wanted to use only Toyota WS, you never know when you might be stranded and needing alternatives to get down the road. Always good to have options!
Here’s a few more to add to your list. Does that mean I can run ONE fluid for both my power steering AND automatic transmission? Also, would these two Mobil 1 ATF’s fit the bill? Full Synthetic since new at 5,000 miles with a full Flush . Amsoil Fuel Efficient ATF Signature Series Synthetic at 37,000 miles and I do Drain pan and refill with 3. AMSOIL at every Drain and Fill again every 10,000 miles forever ! No Tranny Problems,runs cool in summer and no shudder or slippage !
